Privacy & accessibility.
Plain language, no legal maze. Here is exactly what happens with your information when you visit this site, and what I am doing to keep it usable for everyone.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
I am Karah Wilson, and I run Sugar Valley Creative out of Orlando, Florida. This site is a portfolio, so it is deliberately simple. It does not track you, profile you, or try to follow you around the internet.
The short version. This website sets no cookies and runs no advertising or third-party tracking scripts. There is no form on the site itself. If you never contact me, I never learn anything about you beyond the basic traffic information my web host records automatically.
What this site does not do
- No cookies are placed on your device by this website.
- No advertising pixels, no session recording, no heat mapping, and no third-party tracking scripts running in your browser.
- No accounts, no logins, no newsletter list you get added to.
- Nothing is ever sold, rented, or traded to anyone.
What is collected, and when
Web server logs and hosting statistics. This site is hosted by GoDaddy. Like every web host, their servers automatically record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested. My hosting account includes a basic traffic dashboard built from those logs, which shows aggregate numbers like page views and referring sites. It does not identify you personally, and I do not use it to build a profile of anyone. This data is held and handled under GoDaddy's own policies.
Fonts. The typefaces on this site load from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which transmits your IP address to Google. This is common across the web, but I would rather tell you than let you find out. Nothing else about you is shared.
The discovery form. If you choose to fill out my discovery form, it is hosted on Google Forms. What you submit goes to me, and it is covered by Google's privacy terms in transit. I use it for one purpose: understanding your project so I can respond properly.
Email. If you email me, I have your email address and whatever you wrote. Same purpose, same limits.
Links to other places
This site links out to Etsy, eBay, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. Once you click through, you are on their turf and their privacy policies apply, not mine. I have no control over what they collect.
How long I keep things, and your choices
I keep project inquiries as long as there is a reason to: an active conversation, a live project, or a business record I am required to hold. If you would like me to delete what I have about you, or you want to know what that is, just ask and I will take care of it.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If I ever add analytics, a newsletter, or anything else that changes this picture, I will update this page and change the date at the top.

Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026
I build brands so people can find them, understand them, and use them. That has to include people navigating with a screen reader, a keyboard, or a magnifier. This site is built with that in mind, and it is a work in progress rather than a finished claim.
What I am aiming for
I am working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced in the United States.
What is in place
- Every image carries descriptive alternative text.
- The whole site can be navigated by keyboard, with a visible focus outline so you can always see where you are.
- A skip-to-content link lets keyboard and screen reader users bypass the navigation.
- Headings follow a logical order, and page regions are marked up with proper landmarks.
- Star ratings are announced as text rather than read out as symbols.
- Animation is reduced automatically if your device is set to prefer reduced motion.
- Layouts reflow for small screens and hold up when text is enlarged.
Where it currently falls short
I would rather be honest than reassuring. A few decorative elements, including the star icons on testimonials and some small accent text, do not yet meet the AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds. None of them carry information you cannot get elsewhere on the page, and I intend to improve them.
Run into a problem? Tell me. If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, email me and describe what happened and what you were trying to do. I will fix it, and in the meantime I will get you the same information another way.
